Instructions

  1. Prepare the Solution: In a pot, bring water to a boil. Gradually add baking soda while stirring until it’s saturated.
  2. Color Your Mixture: Divide the solution into different containers. Add food coloring to each container.
  3. Create the Crystal Structure: Bend pipe cleaners into shapes and plunge them into the colored solutions, or pour the solutions into the containers.
  4. Let Them Grow: Place your containers on a flat surface and let the crystals form as the water evaporates.
  5. Observe the Transformation: Check your crystals after a few hours to see how they’ve developed.
  6. Display Your Creations: Rinse the crystals gently with water and display them at home.
