An engaging, hands-on project for kids that transforms simple pantry items into fluffy, sensory dough. Perfect for playtime and learning.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups of all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup of warm water
  • 2 teaspoons of baking powder
  • 1/2 cup of salt
  • 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon of cream of tartar (optional)
  • Food coloring or natural dyes (for added joy)

Instructions

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, salt, and baking powder. Stir gently to mix the dry ingredients together.
  2. In a separate container, combine the warm water, vegetable oil, and food coloring. Mix well to distribute the color evenly through the liquid.
  3. Slowly pour the wet mixture into the dry ingredients, stirring carefully with a spoon to incorporate everything together.
  4. When the mixture begins to clump, it’s time to get your hands in there! Use your hands to knead the dough until it becomes soft and pliable, resembling the texture of a fluffy cloud.
  5. If the dough feels sticky while kneading, you can sprinkle in a little more flour until it reaches your desired consistency. Continue kneading for a few minutes until it’s just right.
  6. Once your fluffy cloud dough is ready, place it in an airtight container to keep it fresh for future play.

Notes

Add essential oils for scent, or sprinkle with glitter for extra texture. Ensure to store in an airtight container for longevity.
