Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 cups Water
  • 1 cup Baking soda
  • Cookware (easy to clean)
  • Glass container
  • Wooden stick or spoon
  • Food coloring (optional)
  • Baking tray

Instructions

  1. Prepare the mixture: In a pot, combine 3 cups of water with 1 cup of baking soda. Stir it well until it is completely mixed and heated until it boils gently.
  2. Stir and add color: Once boiling, you can add a few drops of food coloring to infuse color into your crystals. This step is optional but adds a unique touch.
  3. Let it cool: Remove the pot from heat and allow the solution to cool for about 10 minutes.
  4. Pour into a container: Carefully pour the solution into your glass container. Place it on a baking tray to catch any potential spills.
  5. Create your rose: With a wooden stick or spoon, shape the solution into a rose pattern.
  6. Allow to crystallize: Leave the container undisturbed for at least 24 hours.
  7. Reveal the final art: After a day, gently remove your crystal rose from the container.
  8. Display your masterpiece: Find a lovely spot to show off your creation.

Notes

Supervision is recommended for children, especially during boiling. Ensure a clean workspace to minimize mess.
