Ingredients
Clear jars
Glow-in-the-dark paint or stickers
Water
LED tea lights
Glitter (optional)
Paintbrushes (optional)
Plastic or paper plates
Instructions
Begin by preparing the jars. Clean them thoroughly to ensure that any paint or stickers bond well with the surface. Dry them completely.
If using glow-in-the-dark paint, pour a small amount onto a plate. Use a paintbrush to apply the paint inside the jar. Alternatively, you can stick glow-in-the-dark stickers on the inside.
While the paint is still wet, sprinkle a bit of glitter inside for that extra magical twinkle.
Allow the jars to dry completely. Place them in a well-lit area to charge up the glow-in-the-dark elements effectively.
Once the jars are dry, carefully fill each jar with water, stopping just below the lip.
Finally, add the LED tea lights on top of the water in each jar. The light from the tea lights will illuminate the glow-in-the-dark paint, creating a stunning display.
Notes
Encourage creativity by trying different themes or colors; it’s a fun way to explore science together.
