Paper towels
Optional embellishments (glitter, small beads)
Instructions
Prepare your workspace: Lay down newspaper or a plastic tablecloth to catch any spills that might happen during the crafting.
Cut wax paper: Tear or cut a piece of wax paper to your desired size. This is where your suncatcher design will take shape.
Mix the glue: In a bowl, squeeze out the clear glue and add a few drops of food coloring. Mix well with a spoon. The swirling motion already begins here!
Create your patterns: Use a spoon to drip and swirl the colored glue onto the wax paper. Encourage kids to experiment with different designs.
Let the glue dry: Allow your creations to sit untouched for several hours.
Peel off: Once dry, carefully peel the suncatcher off the wax paper.
Display your art: Hang the suncatcher in your window. Enjoy the sunlight illuminating the colors!
Notes
This project may get messy, so have some paper towels ready for spills. Adult supervision is recommended for younger children.
