DIY Paper Roll Flower Suncatcher

A fun and easy craft project for kids that culminates in a beautiful suncatcher using paper rolls and flower petals.

Ingredients

  • Paper rolls (toilet paper or paper towels)
  • Scissors
  • Clear glue or a glue stick
  • Flower petals (real or cut from floral paper)
  • Clear plastic wrap or contact paper (optional)
  • A craft knife (for adults)
  • A pen or marker

Instructions

  1. Start by cutting the paper rolls into 2-inch sections to create equal rings.
  2. Next, choose and arrange your flower petals on a flat surface.
  3. Apply glue to one side of a paper roll ring and press it onto the chosen petals.
  4. Optionally, cover the flower side with clear plastic wrap or contact paper for protection.
  5. Repeat the process with additional rings and flowers for your desired design.
  6. Attach a piece of string or twine to the top of the completed suncatcher for hanging.
  7. Finally, find a sunny space to display your suncatcher and enjoy the light effects.

Notes

Supervise children during the use of scissors and craft knives. Clean up any mess with paper towels.
