Engage kids in a fun, hands-on project making colorful and bouncy marble balls with simple materials.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1/2 cup clear school glue
  • 1/4 cup warm water
  • 3 tablespoons cornstarch
  • Food coloring (optional)
  • Mixing bowl
  • Whisk or spoon
  • Plastic wrap
  • Mold (round ball or silicone mold)

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the clear school glue and warm water, then stir until smooth.
  2. Gradually mix in the cornstarch until well combined; the mixture will thicken as you stir.
  3. If you want to add some color, include food coloring at this point, swirling gently for fun patterns.
  4. Knead the mixture with your hands until you can shape it into small balls.
  5. Once shaped, place the balls on a piece of plastic wrap and let them dry for about 24 hours.
  6. Once dry, enjoy bouncing your newly made balls on a smooth surface!

Notes

Ensure to supervise younger children when mixing materials. Store bouncy balls in an airtight container to maintain their bounce.
