A fun and easy project for kids to create glowing ghostly lanterns using clear glass bottles and cheesecloth, perfect for Halloween.

Ingredients

  • 3 clear glass bottles (12 oz each)
  • 1 cup white craft glue
  • 1 package white cheesecloth
  • 1 sheet black construction paper
  • 3 battery-operated LED tea lights
  • 1 roll jute twine (6 feet)

Instructions

  1. Cut black construction paper into small circles and ovals for ghost eyes and mouths.
  2. Brush white craft glue over the outer surface of each glass bottle and gently drape strips of white cheesecloth over them.
  3. Glue the black paper eyes and mouth shapes onto the front of each bottle.
  4. Drop one battery-operated LED tea light inside each bottle for a delightful glow.
