Transform natural seashells into stunning, glassy decorations that evoke the tranquility of the sea.

Ingredients

  • 5 to 6 medium-sized seashells
  • 1 cup of alum powder
  • 2 cups of hot water
  • 10 drops of liquid food coloring (pink and blue)
  • 1 roll of thin craft wire

Instructions

  1. Start by tying a piece of craft wire around each seashell to suspend them in the solution.
  2. Dissolve 1 cup of alum powder in 2 cups of hot water in a bowl.
  3. Add 10 drops of liquid food coloring, mixing pink and blue, and stir well.
  4. Carefully submerge each seashell in the colored liquid, ensuring they are fully covered.
  5. Leave the seashells undisturbed for 12 to 24 hours to allow crystals to grow.
  6. Remove the seashells and let them dry on a plate.

Store your crafted seashells in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
